15/04/2024Leadership Development Conferences by GLS Hellas and Agape in Athens and Thessaloniki (February 2024)
In February 2024, GLS Hellas organized two highly successful events: the 8th Greek Global Leadership Summit (GLS) was held in Thessaloniki on February 10 (at the Olympic Museum) and in Athens on February 17 (at OTEAcademy) and emphasized the importance of leadership development during times of change and the need to lead from wherever we are.
The conference attracted hundreds of participants from businesses, organizations, public sectors, church leaders, and individuals, providing them with the opportunity to hear inspiring talks from top speakers.
Key speakers at the conference included:
- Dr. Demosthenes Katsarkas: In a captivating live interview, Dr. Katsarkas reflected on the founding of St. Luke’s Clinic, sharing his insights, personal experiences, and the many ways leadership can be expressed in everyday life. He also spoke candidly about the challenges he encountered, the successes he achieved, and his hopes and dreams for the future.
- Giannis Anastasiou: Spoke live about the role of a leader as a “Protagonist in Change,” encouraging participants to tackle challenges with creativity, confidence, and humor.
- James Clear: Based on his bestselling book “Atomic Habits” Clear explored the power of individual habits and how to leverage them for achieving long-term goals.
- Craig Groeschel: Emphasized trust as the cornerstone of effective leadership, presenting practical strategies for strengthening it.
- Erin Meyer: The internationally renowned expert on cross-cultural communication examined how workplace environments can foster creativity, adaptability, innovation, and a “culture of reinvention,” using Netflix as a model.
- Anita Elberse: Presented leadership strategies for high-performance teams, analyzing success stories from the competitive world of Formula 1.
