The adult catechetical material titled “Going Deeper with Jesus Christ,” an initiative of the Agape organization, is designed for use in Bible Study Circles within various parishes.
This material, based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as presented by the Evangelist Luke in his Holy Gospel, aims to lead to a better understanding of the person of Jesus Christ and foster a more personal relationship with Him.
It consists of two volumes of a Study Book and two volumes of a Coordination Book, totaling 550 pages, with each section accompanied by relevant Patristic texts.
It is crafted to encourage interaction and active participation among participants, which made it necessary to train the Coordinators of the Bible Study Circles in Collaborative Learning approaches in Adult Education.
The training, which involved approximately forty catechists, took place in September 2023 at the Conference Center of the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias and Almyros. This Metropolis is the first in Greece to implement this initiative within its community.
Similar training sessions will be held in other Metropolises that have expressed interest in incorporating the material “Going Deeper with Jesus Christ,” into their Bible Study Circles.
